ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS

Alessandra Zeka and Holen Sabrina Kahn met in the Canadian Rockies in 1998 and have been producing documentary stories collaboratively since. Their films which have focused on Albania, Rwanda, India, Taiwan, and issues in Central America as well as the U.S. have been screened and broadcast around the world. Their projects include TE DÜROSH, HARSH BEAUTY, KATRINA AND THE 3 MILLION DOLLAR TIGER, The LIFE OF A WOODENFISH, A GARDEN GROWS IN HARLEM and SUMMER GHOSTS as well as other shorts and community based projects. They are recipients of support from the Sundance Documentary Fund, The New York Foundation for the Arts, Chicken and Egg Pictures, The New York State Council for the Arts, the Jerome Foundation, The Eastman Fund, and the Barbara Dobkin Family Foundation.
